Core Philosophy
The philosophy of keyboard shortcuts stands on 3 core pillars:
- Adhere to keyboard shortcut conventions of Ableton Live.
- Make sure that a description of each button starts with the letter of the shortcut.
- Place shortcuts comfortably so that the left and right hand can comfortably rest on each side of the QWERTY keyboard without the need to frantically jump around.
When clashing, pillar 1 supersedes pillar 2 and pillar 2 supersedes pillar 3.
