Timeline grid snaps chord lengths to different durations. After setting the timeline grid, the ruler on the timeline changes. This means that when we want to change a duration of a chord, it snaps to different temporal fractions, for example Triplet timeline grid snaps chords into triplet rhythm, while Free timeline grid turns off the grid altogether.
The timeline grid also works together with the Shuffle Rhythm switch. The Shuffle Rhythm generative algorithm generates rhythm based on which timeline grid got selected.
